As for deeply compassionate and well meaning middle class white somewhat semi-Christian, semi oblivious agnostic Australians, whose Royal Australian Air Force is doing a fair bit of the blunt mass bombing of the city, I must advise that Mosul is not actually a type of German white wine, somewhat old fashioned style now, but with surprising taste experiences for the knowledgable, to quaff with a light dessert, or with canapés...or just on a nice weekend afternoon by the sea.
