Presentations are available regarding any of the above topics and can be organised to suit an individual, a small group, or a large group. Inquiries are welcome from individuals, patients, family, nurses, allied health, medical officers, general groups, nursing homes and hospitals. Each presentation takes 30 minutes followed by 15-30 minutes of discussion and low key general debriefing as required. All presentations can be adjusted to suit the need.

John Fitzpatrick, Palliative Care Nursing Expert, Registered Nurse, Post Grad Palliative Care and Gerontology/Gerontics, Member of the Australian Society of Authors, has 30 years rich experience in Clinical Palliative Care in roles as Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Consultant; Senior Project Officer for, and writer of, North Queensland’s Strategic Plan for Palliative Care and “Northern Streams - Towards Palliative Care Clinical Best Practice”.

 

He has further certifications in Grief Support, Debriefing, and Addiction Counselling. John is an acknowledged communicator and published Author in three fields. Texts regarding Palliative Care include ‘Northern Streams’, ‘The Wake- Personal Reflections of Palliative Care’ & ‘Hospice Bridge- A Life in Palliative Care’.

 

Current research topic: ‘Entrainment & Palliative Care.’

 

The Presentations are clear, concise, enjoyable, up-to-date and designed to be highly useful and meaningful to Personal Care Workers, Enrolled and Registered Nurses, Nurse Managers and Allied Health Staff. The Presentations can be adjusted/modified to suit any audience, small or large. Cost of Presentations is usually Au$550 per topic, involving specifically designed Powerpoint, Notes and Informal Debriefing Component (with all topics) etc.
