Life's Mysteries Bringing in my washing from the line, I noticed for the first time, that all my clothes: shirts pants socks underwear - were black. I wondered just how and why and, indeed when, life had turned me into a Ninja. There was little time to wonder as the sound of a star-knife swished past my head, and a thud as it embedded itself in the wooden fence behind me. I crouched low, muttered "Ha!" under my breath, and then I leapt up, of a sudden, high up into the tree, unsheathed a katana, and twitched a bit, yet in pure silence, my eyes darting about, looking for Tombei, The Mist. I was immediately the Samurai, Shintaro, in Melton South, and life was dangerous. I would now have to bathe naked in hot public baths, and then gird my loins in a roll of white cotton cloth that bunched up a bit too much. "Ha!"
