John Fitzpatrick. About New China, the Koreas, Myanmar, Thailand, and also about Japanese and Chinese writers and poets. The main emphasis is on North Asia and the political tectonics of this very important, powerful, and many-peopled area.

Oh well, here we go...days off...going to Melbourne in January...time to put together the Curriculum Vitae. Not so easy. I took a hammer to the laptops and other devices sometime back when I planned to run for government, as everyone who is innocent always does...and the hard drive files on the desktop computer have been bleach-bit well and truly...still, I'll see what I can do.
Regarding MOSUL: I bet that within the next FIVE days, just before the US Presidential election date, the US/Iraqis (on CNN) will find some poor small girl in the rubble and race her away to a nice hospital...and even give her fast track American citizenship...after butchering her parents... They will blame ISIS for using these children as human shields, although, mind you, after the constant US total saturation bombing of the whole city (it is the only way to be sure)...after they've told everyone to stay in their own homes (it's a hell of a lot cheaper than providing safe refuge)..and then bombed them to death...I bet the US finds a nice spin in it just before election day, just for a day... Why? Because that's exactly the kind of people they are, and they have the kind of Government they like. It makes them feel good.
It is excellent for individual and collective self-esteem, and they certainly need that. They deeply need to make Obama and Clinton look good for one day.
