PLanning for the Melboune move...removalist costs being more expensive between Cairns and Melbourne than moving the same gear from Thailand to Melbourne to Cairns 2 years ago. Someone is making a good profit. Getting the Nissan Navara Dual Cab ready, a blanket and pillow for Raphael riding Cobain with the 12 gauge...with Lenny in the tray with the kittens.

Goodness me, middle class students setting fire to a garbage bin, and taking selfies with it! Obviously Revolutionary Marxists!

We are all terrified now.

What Trump also means for America, much as Brexit does for England, is that Trump brings together the looney left and the far right (i.e. the forgotten Working Class) in a big squeeze on the 'Middle' ...the middle class of the Cities...and this kind of squeeze on wealth and privilege is well overdue. If either England or USA had provided good services across the whole societies, education and opportunities, the need for Brexit and Trump would not exist...but as things are, Brexit and Trump do need to exist and to have and hold and use real power.

What Trump also means for America, much as Brexit does for England, is that Trump brings together the looney left and the far right (i.e. the forgotten Working Class) in a big squeeze on the 'Middle' ...the well-off middle class of the Cities...and this kind of squeeze on wealth and privilege is well overdue. If either England or USA had provided good services across the whole societies, education and opportunities, the need for Brexit and Trump would not exist...but as things are, Brexit and Trump do need to exist and to have and hold and use real power to make the essential adjustments.

Well-off non-asian American University students burn a rubbish bin in California instead of learning anything....Wooo! A real revolution.

Well-off non-Asian university students burn a rubbish bin in California, and refuse to learn anything...Woow! Now that is a revolution, by their standards, in itself. Next they'll turn to smokin' weed, playin' war games on their phones, and tie-dying their hoodies.

When it comes to BREXIT you can see why this happens and it isn't because of racism or this or that other social imperfection, it is simply that rapid development and rapid social improvements have happened a lot more in London than in England, per se. Thus the needs of London are quite respected and demanded whereas the needs of the rest of the Country are put to the side. It is the same with the revolutionary rise of Trump...The needs of people, straight, gay, transgender, day care, etc etc in the large cities are seen as very socially important and progressive by the denizens, whereas in rural/provincial areas the need is simply to have some job. If rapid social development and education had occurred evenly throughout each country, as is the responsibility of Governance, rather just in City Pockets, then needs would equivocate and a 'rising tide would lift all boats'. So to seek to find a place in England or the USA outside the density of a particular city, or a few, means that people do need to bring about significant change in the way their governments deliver services and, indeed, focus on 'the people' per se, rather than what could be seen as an elite in the cities draining the wealth from the country and a lot of it then going away overseas. Thailand is a perfect example of this in extreme. There really is only one City in Thailand, Bangkok, and Bangkokians do very well indeed, while the country itself goes up shit creek in a barbed wire canoe, with, eventually, devastating consequences for all...as we will see in Thailand within the next year and for the coming decade...the destabilisation of all of South East Asia based upon a simple pro-city pro-elite economy and a form of structured severe very greedy corrupt elite superiority.

The election of Mr Trump heralds a change in the usual liberal/conservative duality and we don't really have a name for the dynamic as yet...it is certainly no longer Right V Left as was the bulk of the 20th Century. Both the Brexit and the election of Trump do indicate a real shift in sentiment towards self and government and probably the only nominal 'duality' you could call it would be, with Brexit, "London City V England Country", and with the USA, "Big Cities V Big Country" in terms of the disproportion of wealth and opportunities. Cities get bigger and use up and focus resources within themselves and this does bring great hardship to regions and provinces, and these regions and provinces do respond on election day.

Noting the response of the Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm "The Fizzer" Turnbull: "I don't want any Australians to feel as really, really uncertain and downright shit scared as I do right now...everything is fine with the Alliance, no problems here...we can outsmart and bully China all by ourselves..." Meanwhile, the Leader of the Australian Labor Party, "Barking Mad" Bill Shorten isn't saying anything until he can work out what important folk would like him to say...which is...nothing.
