I SEE the USAs vice president has guaranteed Koreans absolute protection...from Koreans 60 kilometres away...as long as they dont talk to them...or be friendly to them...or have anything to do with them.

A limited surgical Military strike on North Korea by the US (similar to what the US did in Syria last week) would occasion approximately 500,000 bombs and rockets hitting Seoul within the first hour. Interestingly, It may be best to talk. If 10% hit and half of them went off, goodbye South Korea...and for what? That's good for Korea?much better for South and North to talk, and leave the US completely out of it. America is quite a long way away, and they just dont belong in Asia. It is best for Korea to work out what is best for Korea, it is not their job to work out what is best for America.it is not China's job to work out what is best for Korea, or for America, nor is it Russia's job, and it certainly isnt Japan's job. It is no one's job in Asia to work out what is best for the survival of a bankrupt America, nor what is best for Donald Trump.

"We're going to Westfield shops, do you want to come?" "No thanks, it being Easter Monday, I would prefer to just squirrel myself away here at home in the presence of Christ the Redeemer. Off you go, with your pagan values..."

my niece Sarah, who is working in Shanghai, has a blog and I would suggest to facebook folk that it is well worth visiting. It provides insights into the great phenomenon of the Peoples Republic of People.https://wenshali.com/

when we lived in Thailand during the last big rebellion, around 2012, the radio stations had competitions where you paid 20baht to send a sms regarding which side you thought would win the inner city skirmishes each day, and you could win good prizes, too, sometimes a new toyota corolla...i always bet on the government snipers. maybe we should organise that kind of thing for US versus North Korea? I bet...1000baht ($25US) that there will be no war...this week...from today til midnight 23rd april. Any takers?

Noting that Mr President Trump thinks that Mr President Kim Jong Un is a 'bad guy'. I think most of us get the fact that Mr Un isn't a nice man. Even born to the role, and Un wasn't, the capacity for anyone to get to the top of the shamanistic military DPRK by the age of 30 is a remarkable and ambitious achievement. That he has consolidated support and control is a remarkable achievement, and this has to be the work of a not nice man. I think we know that. The Kim family have been the leaders of the North for decades now and US Military Intelligence hasn't been able to affect that one bit. He is quite secure...a bad man, yes, but not mad at all...he is far more secure than Mr Trump. True, the Kim family have physical health problems that seem to get a lot worse in their late 50s and 60s and I think Mr Un is much like that too...still, with 30 years, most likely, to rule before that happens, he has a brighter future than the American President.
